Going by the tremendous response of its test launch of Optima Lithium Battery E-Scooter, Hero Electric, the pioneer and front-runner in the Indian Electric two-wheeler industry, is now set to launch its entire range of high energy density Lithium battery Electric Scooters, this October.

According to Sohinder Gill, CEO Global Business, Hero Eco, this is one great step in Hero’s attempt to put 3 million plus Electric two wheelers on Indian roads by 2020. Hero Electric has upgraded and implemented the changes in the Electronic and Power train of all its E-Scooters to give the choice of the lead or the lithium batteries to the customer at the time of purchase. Lithium battery technology in Hero Electric Scooters would not only give around 5 years of petrol free ride, it would allow home charging and 30 minutes top up charging. The Hero Electric Customers would now have the real pleasure of driving the Electric scooters and not worry about the limited range and limited life of the lead batteries. It’s a dream cum true for Gill, who has led Hero Electric and also spearheaded the Electric Vehicle Association of India for the last 8 years in the untiring pursuit of promoting the Electric Vehicles in India.
Hero Electric has 70% market share and its Optima model has been the most popular family E-Scooter. To celebrate the 50000 sale of its Optima Model, Hero Electric has tied with Paytm and announced a very special offer of Rs.10000 extra discount to a select few customer on its newly introduced “Optima Li-Ion deluxe Scooter”.  This is over and above the Rs.17000 subsidy given by the Government on high performance E-Scooters. Optima booking will starts on 25th September on the online portal of Paytm where the buyer can pay the booking amount of Rs.15000 and avail this special discount.
Nyx Lithium is yet another useful and functional E-Scooter being launched for the discerning Indian customer. This attractive looking E-Scooter is appreciated for its versatility, comfort and convenience. This Lithium battery Nyx comes at a very attractive price from 1st October onwards.  Customers love it for its split seat that doubles up as back rest, extra large footboard and stylish looks.
So whether it is the utility Scooter Maxi or the NYX, Hero now has the complete range of its high economy Scooter series in the new Avatar that is sure to change the way the world looks at the Electric Vehicles. As per Sohinder Gill, now is the time for time to pick and choose your favourite Hero Electric Scooter from one of the 300 exclusive outlets across the country and start enjoying a super smooth noiseless drive while saving upwards of Rs.10000 per year. As a Hero electric user, you would also be a proud contributor to the reduction in air pollution and conservation of crude oil, both of which are the dire needs of our country.

Has anyone purchased an hero-electric bike through PayTM? Is it trustworthy to pay the full amount (nearly 60thousand rupees) through payTM and wait for vehicle delivery? What can I do if there are any problems?

Hi Sir

Congrats on your purchase!
You can definitely contact the dealer from whom you bought it.

Lithium batteries last long so in 3-4 years down the line, you can easily find your dealer stocking batteries.

Good luck!
