Pune based electric cycle startup, EMotorad has launched India’s first electric cycle with dual suspension. The price for the new e-cycle starts at ₹50,000.
The MOOVWAY - X is the flagship electric cycle from EMotorad. The battery goes upto 45 km in throttle mode and 70 km in pedal assist mode. The cells used are Samsung cells. The e-Bike is fitted with 21 speed gears. They plan to launch three more products by December and February by the name of EM - Cosmos, T-Rex, and T-rex Pro.

The following are the specs
  • Frame: 6061 aluminium alloy
  • Front Fork:Adjustable lock suspension
  • Rear suspension: oil
  • Front Derailleur 3 Speed Shimano SX Tourney
  • Rear Derailleur:Shimano 7 speed
  • Brake:Disc brakes

PluginIndia's Take
This is a good looking e-Bike. It has a large LCD display and a largish battery which will store 375 Wh of energy. In-spite of claiming to have Aluminum frames, the weight of 21 kgs is disappointing.
Coming to the full suspension feature of the EMotorad, that is definitely a plus. A full-suspension e-Bbike will soak up most of the jarring bumps that would otherwise be sent to your body. This can help reduce fatigue, which in turn can allow you to ride faster, for longer, with greater comfort. However most eBikes sold in India are hardtail's, which are lighter and more efficient during pedaling.

We wish the team at EMotorad the best of luck.
