Batt:RE, the Jaipur based electric scooter manufacturer has unveiled a new product - an electric vehicle charging equipment. This equipment will enable any business to install simple charge points at their premises. This will ensure all electric vehicles to charge in a simple manner and enable businesses to offer and monetize EV charging service.

The Batt:RE RE:Charge charging equipment is a simple and inexpensive solution for business owners, shops and parking areas to offer EV charging to EV owners.

How to Install and Setup Your Charger
Any business owner can purchase, setup using the app and offer charging to EV owners. The business owner can set the hourly cost for EV charging via the mobile app. Ensure you have the Batt:RE app available with you on your phone.
These are the steps that have to be taken 
  1. Open the Batt:RE app and enter your mobile number.
  2. Enter the OTP
  3. Once authenticated, you will be taken to main view of the app
  4. Tap on Settings (3rd button at bottom) and tap on 'My Chargers' option
  5. Tap on 'Add Charger' button on top right
  6. Scan the QR code of your device
  7. The app will connect to the charger via bluetooth
  8. Once connection is successful, tap on 'Set Charger Location' button
  9. In the map, select the location of the charger
  10. Now enter the charger details. The fields are self explanatory. But ensure you enter the "Charge Per Hour" and "Payment UPI address"
  11. Once done, save the charger
  12. You are set. Your charger will appear on the app and users can use the charging station to pay and charger their EVs.

For an EV owner who needs to charge their vehicle, there are essentially, 4 steps
  • Download the Batt:RE app
  • Locate RE:Charge station in the map 
  • Scan the QR code
  • Pay using UPI
  • Start charging
