Prior to President Obama's recently concluded trip to India for Republic Day, environmental groups and solar companies -- including Sierra Club, Schneider Electric, OMC Power, d.light, SunFunder, and Simpa Networks -- sent the President a letter calling for a “Power India” initiative to provide U.S. support for India’s ambitious solar goals. This would be a an important building block of U.S.-India collaboration on climate disruption and could help create much needed international momentum on both short-term climate action and on a post-2020 climate agreement.

Update August 2016
There has been no major updates to the Maps, Infotainment System for existing users from Mahindra even after 3+ years on Indian roads. Original Blog The Mahindra e2o is most intelligent car on Indian roads. We all know it is an electric and generally electric cars have advanced technology features that are still years away in ICE based cars. The e2o has everything - Intelligent Energy Management system, automatic data uploads, SMS based alerts, Mobile app integration, multiple computers monitoring everything, touch screen system etc. Because of so much tech involved, lot of features can be upgraded with a simple software update. In this blog, we focus on some improvements Mahindra Reva could consider as a software release that would help users. By Johnson Let me congratulate Ather on their success in getting funding of $1 million. They have done a lot of hardwork to deserve it. But let me warn that Mahindra had invested 20 times more in the Mahindra e2o and are struggling to sell. Let's not repeat the mistakes of e2o.
But before coming to that let me say that Raju Venkatraman, Sachin and Binny Bansal have given the Indian Automobile industry a big boost by investing in the Ather idea. If successful, this will surely change the face of motorcycling not only in India but also in Africa and South East Asia. |
