Ather Energy achieves $100-million (₹750 CR) annual run rate in less than a year to become possibly India's biggest EV two-wheeler maker by revenue. Ather Energy announced, setting up a second plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, to scale up production and meet surging demand for the Ather 450 Plus and Ather 450X electric scooters.
Hero MotoCorp has registered a sub-brand of the company as Vida Electric Motorcycle, and the company will launch its new upcoming electric scooter under the sub-brand named Vida Electric.
The company recently filed a number of trademarks pertaining to the name Vida, including Vida MotoCorp, Vida EV, Vida Electric, Vida Scooters and even Vida Motorcycles. One of the largest two and three-wheeler maker, TVS Motor would invest Rs 1,200 crore in future technologies and electric vehicles over the next four years. A MOU has been signed with the Tamil Nadu government.
