2020. What a year! The world is happy to see the year leave, all our lives. The Indian electric vehicle industry too suffered a setback during the first six months of the year. Yet, by the end of the year, there is a huge wave of optimism in the industry for the coming year. This report logs the highs and lows of the Indian EV industry for 2020.

CRISIL has published an interesting report regarding the EV market in India. It has been estimated that electric three-wheelers and two-wheelers would be ruling the streets for the upcoming five years while the electric four-wheeler space would remain lifeless.

Even though this thought came a little late to EV manufacturers in India, it can be safely assumed that “better late than never”. By Strom Motors Strom Motors an EV start up based out of India is all set to launch Strom-R3, a reverse trike all electric urban mobility solution. Strom-R3 is the first reverse trike vehicle to receive homologation certification in India. Strom Motors was the winner of the coveted Spirit of Manufacturing Award at TiECON Global Summit held in November 2019 at New Delhi, India. Strom-R3 has received widespread recognition including as a top 10 startups by Government of India in early 2018 and by Economic Times.
