Midnight EV Drive on World Earth Day
April 21st 2016
RE:LIVE All India event
Midnight EV Drive on World Earth Day is a RE:LIVE event, which a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness and highlight the benefits of electric vehicles.
Electric Vehicles are fun to drive, are less expensive and more convenient to fuel than petrol vehicles.
They are better for the environment, they promote local jobs, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
This RE:LIVE event has the idea to hold simultaneous events across the country on the same date, all to emphasize the thing we all want to do: drive electric.
We expect RE:LIVE events to grow and include more events in more cities with more drivers reaching out to share the many advantages of driving electric with the public.
Each event is led by local plug-in drivers and advocates and typically includes some combination of EV parades, ride-and-drives, discussions and more.
PlugInIndia.com - India's only web portal covering the EV industry provides support to the events throughout the country.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
This event has been organised by RE:LIVE India and PluginIndia.com
The Delhi leg of the drive was organised by Mahindra Electric and the stickers were sponsored by them too.
RE:LIVE is the coming together of likeminded people who believe in the concept of electric mobility.
All these people are bound by a common thread – they drive a private electric vehicle regularly.
The aim of this group of people is to create awareness about electric mobility within society, make people realise the importance having emission free transportation and in the process help clean up our cities’ ever increasing pollution. It is an attempt to persuade society to think about the life that was there two decades ago and imagine being in that era of cleaner environments.
Hence the name – RE:LIVE or Rally (Rallying) for Ecological Initiation of Vital Environments.
RE:LIVE would be organizing events across cities in India.
These events could be Electric vehicle rally, demonstration, intra city rides, rides outside cities, visiting clean energy communities etc
The RE:LIVE team has been instrumental in creating iOS and Android mobile apps to find the nearest community charge points for electric vehicle users in India.

About PlugInIndia: PluginIndia.com, a Pune based organisation, works to accelerate the shift to plug-in electric vehicles powered by clean, affordable, domestic electricity to reduce our nation's dependence on petroleum and improve the global environment. The organization along with the EV community conceived RE:LIVE events to promote EV’s and has advanced community charging by pioneering the idea of community charging stations, where communities open up their homes, offices and businesses for the EV owners.
