The all new electric Chetak scooter is not only a visual stunner, but also a connected and smart bike with enhanced additions. We take a closer look at the detailing the Bajaj think tank put their heads into.
Bajaj not only lived up to the expectations of the brand, but also, is successful in taking us into a nostalgic trip back in to the past.
Enough said, these are the 10 little things that will enhance your ownership experience of the Chetak!

1. Start Button & Key Fob - No Keys

There is no key nor a key hole for the Chetak, but, there is a key fob. When the key fob is in the vicinity of the bike, the bike captures the signal from the key fob and goes in to a state of accepting commands. All you have to do is press the switch on the bike and it's on!

2. Automatic Handle Lock

Turn the handle to a side and long press the switch to make the engine off, will also automatically lock the handle. You don't have to worry about forgetting to lock the handle anymore.

3. Dikki seat doesn't fall over and holds position wherever you keep it.

This is another brilliant addition to the bike, Bajaj again earns the points here. The seat when lifted vertically doesn't fall back, it retains the position. This is a useful addition if and when you need to load/unload. The seat itself retains any position you keep it in.

4. Beeping when seat is open.

When you keep the seat open, you can hear a beep coming from the bike. This beep sound continuous for about a minute. This sound is to remind you to close the seat, this is useful while charging the bike itself. While charging, if the seat is not closed properly, the battery doesn't get charged.

5. Bag Holder

There is a provision to carry about 3 kgs of weight, the holder is placed aesthetically at the front part of the seat. You have to press the button in the center and the holder stretches out to become like a hook. You could load up to 3 kgs of weight, it might sound less but on a regular usage this becomes a very helpful addition.

6. LED light under the seat.

There are two LED strips inside the dikki and these two are equally helpful in providing the user some light to better the vision during night or in darker spaces. While one (image on the left) can be used to guide the user to load/unload, and the other (image on the right) though a bit dimmer, helps user to accurately plug the charger into the socket even in darker spaces such as basement parking or even during night..

7. Seat is meant for two adults.

The Chetak is a comfortable bike for the pillion as well. The bike has a very spacious seat providing a good experience to the rider and the pillion.

8. One button to open dikki and glove box.

Bajaj has shown a lot of efficiency with the usage of buttons on the bike Chetak. The button (shown in the image) opens the seat/dikki on long press, while on a shorter press the same button opens the glove box.

9. Front Glove Box

The front glove box is again well designed. We haven't seen this kind of design with other manufacturers but Bajaj, has earned some plus points here.

The front glove box contains space to hold the charging cable, a cable management device with an adapter and tester you could carry the entire set along with you, if you are on the go.

The box also contains a USB charging socket bordered by an LED light, again, useful in darker spaces.

The box contains space for first aid and tool kit, aesthetically designed, to comply to the bike safety standard.

10. Smartphone charger/holder

A rubber band is provided along with a rubber protection to place your phone and charge it from the USB socket. The holder is very firm yet the rubber will not damage your phone. You can charge your smartphone while on the go.
