By Team Exicom
In line with its commitment to drive India’s EV Mission forward and increasing awareness among the consumers, the Indian government's premier policy think tank has installed an Exicom fast charging station for electric vehicles at the organisation's office in the heart of New Delhi.
Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, who inaugurated the electric vehicles charging station at the NITI Aayog premises here, said electric vehicles can substitute imports (of crude oil) and are cost effective as well as pollution-free.

Also speaking at the event, Chief Executive Officer at NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant said, "Encouraging electric mobility has been a consistent stand of NITI and setting up of these charging stations is the first step in this direction. India, along the world, is moving towards a shared, connected and zero emission base economy."
The NITI Aayog is the co-ordinating agency for electric mobility in the country.
The Exicom DC charger comes with a single vehicle charging, and two connector architectures where connector A can charge at 48V/60V/72V at 3.3 kW and connector B can charge at 48V/60V/72V at 15 kW using GB/T 20234.3 connector. Whereas, AC charger comes with three outputs of 230V, 15A each using IEC 60309 Industrial sockets. The Exicom charger is Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) compliant, which offers a stable solution for communication between charge point and the central system. These chargers allow consumers to pay through multiple options (Debit/Credit Card, BHIM – cashless payment system, Bharat QR or UPI compliant mobile payment).
Also, Mr. Kant laid out the vision of transitioning to electric mobility across segments with the commitment of converting NITI Aayog vehicles to electric ones in subsequent months.
On the occasion, Anant Nahata, Managing Director of Exicom said, "We are grateful and honored to support Government's thought leadership on climate action and commitment to support sustainable mobility solutions by providing all necessary help to boost electric vehicles in India. Our solutions are capable to deliver the performance needed for anxiety free transport at the lowest cost while also helping to solve many problems like reducing pollution and oil import. As India moves towards a shared, connected and zero emission base economy, we hope to play leading role in implementing energy transition and for emissions free mobility through development of EV Charging Infrastructure across the country."
Presently, EXICOM is offering both off the shelf as well as customized solutions for residential and public charging for two and three-wheelers, passenger segment, and commercial vehicles. Exicom is ready to provide charging solutions for any size project or program, from just one vehicle to public parking spaces, and ramps up to a full fleet of vehicles. Leading EV Automakers have tested, approved, and partnered with Exicom.
