Delhi - Jaipur on an electric car
In this week’s episode, we will talk about driving your electric car between the Indian capital city of New Delhi to the pink city of Jaipur. The road is pretty flat with no major hills. And guys, I must say this highway has the most number of DC fast chargers setup by Charge Point Operators! We have the likes of Tata Power, Statiq Charging, E-Fill, Fortum and Xobolot who have set up DC fast chargers on the NH 48 highway between Delhi and Jaipur city. Fun fact - National highway 48 starts at Delhi and terminates at Chennai traversing through seven states of India!

The EV Drive
Let’s talk about your electric car drive between Delhi and Jaipur. This guide is for cars like Tata Nexon EV, Tigor EV, MG ZS EV etc
- Start your drive from Delhi at 100% SOC and start driving towards Gurugram and NH 48. Keep driving on NH 48 and cross the Rajasthan border, and get into the town of Behror where there are 60 kW chargers installed by Statiq Charging two hotels separated by 5 km - Highway King and Highway Xpress. Choose any one. Do note that both these chargers have dual guns. So two cars can charge simultaneously, each delivering 30 kW power. Because, if you arrive at the charger and it is occupied, you can use the other plug and start charging.
- From the center of Delhi, we estimate that you will reach the charger at 35% SOC
- All you need to do is to top up the charge for 30 minutes. Use the Statiq app and start charging.
- And you have restaurants called …….. Surprise surprise - Highway King and Highway Xpress for quick lunch or snacks or chai.
