Zeon Charging and Ather Energy have partnered to setup public charging stations all over India.
Zeon Charging and Ather Energy are partnering to collectively accelerate the pace of expansion of their public charging network. Through this partnership Ather Energy will install Ather Grid points in existing and future Zeon Charging stations. Zeon Charging in turn will work with Ather Energy to install four-wheeler chargers at existing Ather Grid locations wherever possible.
The growth and expansion of a reliable charging infrastructure is circle to facilitate the adoption of electric vehicles in our country. While Zeon charging installs high powered chargers that are capable of charging four-wheelers and heavier vehicles, the Ather Grid is today used predominantly for charging Ather scooters and other two-wheelers. With Ather Energy opening its proprietary charging connector in August earlier this year, the Ather Grid will also be available to two-wheelers manufactured by other OEMs in the future. Having both these installations at one location brings in a lot of synergy in terms of power availability, backend infrastructure, and the capability of charging all electric vehicles.

The two big issues with charging infrastructure is the real estate required and also the electricity load needed to be setup for charging. It is better for companies to band together and share their locations instead of working in silos. This will ensure more footfalls and more charging sessions, which will benefit the EV community and the operators.
