PluginIndia's Take
So appliance companies are launching electric two wheelers now. Wonder what Mr Rajiv Bajaj will say about that! Detel sells washing machines, TVs and now this. They plan to manufacture one lakh low speed electric two wheelers this year. They are also assuring road side assistance. The company has also spoke about onsite servicing leveraging their service network of their appliance business. The warranty of 2 years for the battery seems disappointing. Deliveries are promised in the month of June.
This cute little design reminds us of PURE EV's eTrance electric moped sans the pedals. If the product can do well in the rugged delivery segment and the service is provided for, then this product can well in small towns due to the sheer economy of spending Rs 6 (1 unit of electricity) to go 50 km. We wish the team best of luck.
