ETO Motors is investing 150 CR in Telangana state after signing an MOU with state officials. ETO Motors focusses on large-scale deployment of multi-brand electric fleet for customers pan India. The investment will happen over a period of 5 years.
ETO Motors is a full fledged electric mobility solutions & services company that provides clean and safe public transportation for first mile, last mile and intra city commuters.
ETO Motors will setup a greenfield manufacturing facility for its range of electric 3 wheelers in Telangana state. ETO Motors will offer both passenger and cargo 3 wheelers for both consumers and corporates.
Commenting on the development, NK Rawal, managing director, ETO Motors said, "The new EV policy by the Telangana government comes at the right time when the EV segment is poised to grow at a significant rate considering the demand from the booming e-commerce side apart from policy push from the central government… The new plant will help us cater to the increasing interest we are witnessing from the e-commerce and 3rd party logistics players in our products that are not only equipped to handle the decent load but are also capable to run in diverse terrains."

ETO has partnered with major e-commerce players and third party logistics providers to support middle and last mile logistics through its zero emission electric cargo vehicles. ETO Motors has wide range of close body delivery vehicles with a load-carrying capacity between 400 Kg to 620 Kg. This can be customized to the requirement and applications of the clients.
The 3 vehicles in the cargo platform are Keto Bulk-e EL1, Keto Bulk-e EL2, BYD - T3.
The KETO Bulk-e is an electric 3-wheeler cargo vehicle ergonomically designed to pull a load of over 500 kg. It has the following specs

Corporate Transport
Apart from solutions in the cargo space, ETO Motors will also offer clean & shared mobility for corporate employee transfers. The service can be availed in form of first & last mile connectivity, intracity commute and commute inside the corporate/industrial parks. The service is provided through zero emission electric three wheelers which are IOT enabled with GPS and they are monitored continuously for safety of the commuters.
The vehicles are manufactured by Keto Motors in Hyderabad and are offered to ETO Motors who will offer mobility services. Keto Motors have entered into a joint venture with Kyto Green technologies Hongkong to bring their 3W electric autos to India.
Vehicle Rentals & Aggregators
ETO offers its electric fleet to driver-partners at extremely attractive and competitive rentals. ETO offers e-rickshaws and e-autos on a daily rental basis in both passenger and cargo segments for its Driver Partners to earn their livelihood. Driver partners also have an option of Drive and Own the electric vehicle. ETO will take care of charging, maintenance, and overnight parking costs. Drivers partners can simply enroll and drive.

So looks like there is a partnership between the Hong Kong firm KYTO Motors with the Hyderabad based company KETO Motors, who seem to be importing the cargo and passenger vehicles from Hong Kong. The vehicles looks stylish and seem not to be designed for India. For example there is only provision for 1 seat in the front for just the driver. But in India we see cases of two or three people sitting in the front with some cargo too. We are not sure about the localization efforts and certification process yet. The vehicle designs are stylish and looks good with big wheels. Looks like KETO motors are also partnering up with BYD to get their Cargo vans to India. We see the BYD T3 electric cargo van in their website too. No details are provided on this variant though. Look forward to seeing them on the road. |
