PluginIndia's Take
A software update is adding range to an electric car is every EV owner's dream! Of course, the 453 km number is pure marketing. We will need tests from the community to understand the increase in real world range.
The Nexon EV Max's new XM trim costs 16.49 lakh, which is incredibly lower than the XZ+ Lux variant of the Nexon Prime. Why would one go for the prime now, when you can get a larger battery pack and better range with the Max?
Tata Motors says streamline production processes and localisation has resulted in savings and that has been passed down to users. We feel this was a missed opportunity to reduce prices of the Prime. Will this also result in price reduction in Tigor.ev? It remains to be seen.
One feels that Tata Motors has reacted to the launch of Mahindra XUV 400! The electric car SUV space remains exciting for now!
